This place is great for adults and kids. We travel so we are not familiar with the area & we are so glad we spotted this place! My daughter had the best time with ALL the other kids on the playground. Great idea!!!

It was pretty quiet on the last night of January when I walked in. I didn't know what to expect when I was invited out but I was quite pleasantly surprised. Right of the bat, Rachel greeted me in a way that can only be described as "best friends reuniting" and I was instantly put at ease. I was meeting a friend here who bought me a pizza after I said, "chef's choice" since it was my first time here and I had no idea what they were about. I got there and already had said pizza at the bar waiting for me. As with everything new to me, I didn't know what to expect, but the smells radiating off it were something to behold. Turns out the surprise pizza was the Burn It Down pizza with pepperonis, sliced jalapeños, and sliced sausage. That first bite felt like the world slowed down for a second as my taste buds caught up with everything. To describe it in one word: Perfect. Perfect amount of spice, perfect crunch from a high temp bake, perfect little bits of char on the pepperonis and browning on the cheese, and perfect smokiness of the sausage they use. Me and my friend nearly ate the whole thing over a few drinks, which were a refreshing variety of local beers, wines, and classic crowd favorites. There was a blackberry beer that I chose after taking a few samples of their draft selections and it contrasted nicely with the pizza choice. It was pretty fruity, a little sweet, but a definite short lister. Don't worry about the color, you will be fine. After I was a few slices in, the head chef, David, came by and asked how everything was. His energy matched very well with Rachel and I could tell there was an excellent team running this place. Even in this first meeting, I could tell he pours over the details and works to perfect his craft every chance he gets. He thanked me for the kind words and asked everyone else at the bar how things were. From the single interaction with everyone here, I can already tell I'll be back soon. The atmosphere was very relaxed, but also very tight-knit. I could tell they catered a lot to the armed forces, with a nod to the Air Force with the neon F-18 on the wall. I'll definitely be back. Maybe with friends, maybe by myself, but I found a new place to hang out that night. Here's to next time.

Got the “Burn It Down” and the “Cheese Lover” and both were cooked to perfection! Not to mention I got to top it off with my favorite beer and hang out with friends while playing trivia and watching football!

The Box at the Rex is an outstanding addition to the Milbrook food scene. This brick-fired pizza spot inside a beer bar absolutely delivers. The pizzas come out with that perfect balance of a crisp, slightly charred crust and fresh, flavorful toppings that clearly show attention to quality and craft. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—exactly what you want when pairing great pizza with a solid beer selection. Everything about the experience felt intentional, from the food to the vibe, and it’s clear the people behind it care about doing things right. If you’re looking for excellent brick-fired pizza in a laid-back setting with great beer, The Box at the Rex is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back.

I reserved The Rex for my husband’s 50th birthday party private event. Cassie was so easy to communicate with and everything was wonderful. We found a food truck for our party and had access to the whole place. The bartender was sweet and attentive and the families that arrived with children loved having the playground and open area to run and play. Our adults loved the cornhole boards and also loved the open space to have a quick game of tag football. It was a wonderful place to celebrate my amazing husband! THANK YOU!

We love the Rex and have been enjoying it since it opened. We were VERY happy when we learned they were opening a pizza kitchen. We went to try it over the weekend and were extremely satisfied with the pizza! When trying a new pizza joint, we always order a straight pepperoni to judge it against others. Thankfully, it surpassed our expectations! The cheese is perfectly stretchy and delicious. The pepperoni were the smallish kind that ‘cup’ when cooked and they were amazing. The crust was crunchy and crisp outside and chewy inside. All in all, a SOLID pie!! The Rex was already a great place to hang with some buddies, or the family, and have a few beers. Adding a pizza kitchen has definitely made this spot even better!

We just recently went to enjoy cold beer with family and friends and were able to get the BEST pizza! Everyone should try it!! Can’t wait to go back for more! Reasonable pricing and hand crafted, delicious pizza! We ordered a “The Cheese Lover” (pictured) and a “Worth The Wait” (not pictured because it was absolutely devoured before I could snap a photo )

David made a special order for me it was his 1st time making what I asked for and he did an amazing job. 10/10. Amazing
